Hints for answering the Interview questions:

Note: All the students are getting the same hints, so make sure you shuffle/mix-up the hint-points upside down. And add MORE points by doing research.

Important tips:
1. Be confident while answering
2. Do not memorize your answers, speak naturally
3. Be alone during the interview
4. Look straightly into the camera( No left, right ,up or down)
5. Don’t keep any study materials with you during the interview
6. Have original PASSPORT with you during the interview
7. Speak clearly and know what you are saying
8. Don’t change your statement (Eg; I don’t have anyone in the UK.. Later on, Oh yes, I know this person in the UK)
9. Be online before 15 mins of Interview time
10.Be polite, greed them, and create a healthy environment during the interview.
11. Apart from these questions, some out questions will be asked too including the Cross-questions. So, answer them confidently too.


Questions: 

Introduction: 

1. Confirm you name and your date of birth/ Introduce yourself

2. Confirm you passport no.
     ➢ You must have your passport with you while giving interview.

3. Do you have dependent?
     ➢ Married or Single (What is he doing? Is he coming with you? Yes or No, explain.)


Previous Qualifications and history:

4. What was your previous educational qualification? (Name of college, level, grade, year of completion)

5. Is there a gap between your proposed study and your previous study? If yes, were your working?
   • The name of the company or organization, nature of the company, Manager?
   • Designation, Position
   • Working from (Day, month and year) to till date or?
   • Your salary?

6. If there are more gaps, why do you want to get back to your studies again?
   • You should give a strong point on why you want to study again and not continue working and getting experience instead.


Course:

7.What is your chosen course name? What is the full form of your qualification (eg: Msc, Bsc,MBA,MA)?

8. How long is the course? How much are the tuition fees? |
   • Check from your offer letter.
   • If you have foundation course or pre-masters course, then start your answer by saying: “ For pre-masters or foundation, the tuition fee is (Amount) and for my main course, the tuition fee is( amount).

9. What is your course level?
   • Choose your course
a. Foundation Program = Level 3
b. Bachelor = 6
c. Masters = 7
   • Mention the start date and the end date of your course.

10. What qualification/Award or Degree will you receive when you graduate?
   • Check from your offer letter.
   • Eg; BA, Bsc, MPA, Msc, MBA etc.

11. Why this course?
   ➢ Talk about your previous course relations
   ➢ Talk about your interest in this course
   ➢ Talk about the relevancy of this course to your future plan

12. How many modules/subjects and credits does the course offer? Explain any 2 or 3 of your modules
   • All the modules MUST be search from the University’s sites.( Eg, Your University is Sunderland University: then its site will be WWW.Sunderland.ac.uk or if it is Teesside University then its site will be www.tees.ac.uk

13. How will your studies be assessed(Assessment Method)?
   • Check properly from the University sites whether your studies will be assessed through eg: Practical, Exams, Class test, Assignments, Presentations, etc.


University:

14. Which University are you applying to? What is the name of the campus you will be studying?

15. What do you know about this city and its neighborhood areas? (Eg; Bangor city, Chester city, Sunderland city)
   • Consider any renowned places and good things.


16. Why did you choose this University? Mention at least 7 points and explain them in your own language)
   • Mention ranking on the basis of National and Global.(Search in Wikipedia)
   • Mention TEF (Teaching Excellence Framework) Rank on whether it is Gold, Silver or Bronze.
   • Mention the Facilities provided by the university
   • Mention the awards of the university.
   • Check if there are any scholarships, affordable fees and living expenses, are you happy with the location etc.

17. How did you find this university?
   • Firstly, say that you have research by yourself then you took advice from(Mention the person) and you met an agent.

18. Where is the University located? What is its postal code?

19. How big is the University?
   • Mention the history such as established date of the university
   • Total no. of students
   • Total no. of international students
   • Motto of the university
   • Mention the campuses (Names).
   • Any award received so far

20. What are the facilities provided by the university?( Check whether you have sports, internet, garden, accommodation, etc.?)

21. What are the facilities regarding your course?(Check whether you have Placement, Internship, any guest lectures, library, small class room, lab, etc?)

22. Which other institutions did you consider? Why not choose those universities?
   • You MUST mention atleast 2 or 3 universities.

Why study Abroad:
23. Why do you want to study in the UK? (Mention at least 7 points and explain them in your own language) (Talk more on Educational factors and its advantages) Eg; Shorter Course, affordable fees, updated course, high quality education, globally recognized degree, etc.

24. What are the advantages of studying in the UK and not in your own country? (Mention at least 7 points and explain them in your own language) (Compare more on Educational factors, teaching pattern and academic advantages) Eg, Lack of university, outdated course, theoretical form of study etc.

25. Why did you choose to study in the UK or other English speaking countries? (Mention at least 7 points and explain them in your own language) (Compare more on Educational factors, teaching pattern and academic advantages)

Your future plans:
26. What is your future plans/post study plans/career goals/ Career aspirations? Prep: Cruz lama (Nepmany education Service pvt.ltd) Must include:
   • Assurance of coming back to your home country
   • Company’s name
   • Post, Designation, Job title or Position
   • Roles and responsibilities of your post.
   • Mention how this course will offer you knowledge and skills to become what you want to be in the future (Cross question: why not other companies? Or other post? What is mean by(your post) eg; Manager, Accountant etc.)

27. What do you intend to do when your visa expires? • You should always say you will come back to Nepal and start your career.

Funds:
28. Who is funding your studies?
   • Consult with your counselor and confirm whether you are taking Education loan or family’s income to fund your studies.
   • Also mention if you are taking both education loan and family’s income.

29. If taken Education Loan:
a. Is it a bank loan?
   • Yes, It is a bank loan.
b. Is it a government paid loan?
   • Yes, It is a govt. paid loan.
c. Are you taking the education loan by your name or your parents/spouse’s name?
   • Ask your Counselor.
d. Is the loan already approved?
   • Ask your Counselor.
e. What assets have you shown to take the loan?
   • Is it land/ treasury?
• Where have the funds in the bank account come from?
• All the questions regarding funds, please consult with your Counsellor.
• How long have the funds been in the account? 
• Are the funds still in the account?

30. What is your financial sponsor’s (father/mother) income?
   • Should be above 24,000 pounds per annum.( You can include house rent and other income too)

31. What is your parent’s business? How many people are dependent on their (father/mother) income? If you have less funds, better say I am the only one dependent. If you have more funds, you could mention about your siblings too.

32. Does your family have any sort of savings?
   • If you say you have savings, you must be ready to show the evidence if suppose they ask.

33. What evidence you can show us regarding your funds?
   • Bank Statement for family’s income and Loan letter for Education Loan.

34. How will you pay for your studies and living costs?
   • Is it from Education loan or your parents’s income?
   • Or is it both Education loan and your parent’s income?

35. How much will be your living expenses?
   • Check from your Offer letter.

36. Can you divide the living expenses in terms of eg: fooding, internet, accommodation, transportation etc. ?
   • Check from Google.

Accommodation:
37. Where will you live and how far will this be from the campus?
   • Type on Google “ Students accommodation near (your university).”
   • You better select accommodation with low cost.
   • If possible select the nearest student accommodation because it will reduce transportation cost.

d. Distance from the University
e. What are the facilities provided by your accommodation?
   • Check: beds, internet facilities, study chair and table, water facilities etc.
f. Have you booked the accommodation?
   • No, but once I get the Visa I will book the accommodation.

Conclusion:
38. Are you planning to work while you are in the UK?
   • It depends on you. However, you will be permitted to work only for 20hrs per week.

39. Do you have any friends or family in the UK?
   • Its better to always say ‘NO’.

40. Have you ever travelled outside your country?
   • If yes, then say ‘Yes’.
   • If NO, then say ‘No’.

41. Have you had any visa refusal till now?
   • If you had visa refusal better say “No, I never had visa refusal”(which means in question no. 58, you should say “No, I have never travelled outside Nepal.”)
   • If you have no visa refusal, say No directly. 42. What are the responsibilities of tier-4 student’s visa?
   • I should attend my class regularly.
   • I should not work more than 20hrs per week.
   • I should follow all the rules and regulation provided by the university and the UK government. 
   • All Student or Tier 4 visa holders have the condition whereby you have no recourse to public funds. This means you are not able to claim most government benefits such as welfare benefits, tax credits and housing assistance.
   • (Note; Check more responsibilities of tier-4 student visa from Google)

43. What is the cost of tier – 4 students visa?
   • Check for the cost to apply for a Student visa from outside the UK.

44. What is the name of the airlines you will be taking?
   • cost of the ticket?, In which airport you will be landing in the UK?, How are you going to travel from the airport to your accommodation?, Which transportation you will be taking to reach at your accommodation?, What is the cost of the cap/taxi/train/bus/bike?

45. Are you travelling to the UK alone?
   • Always say ‘Yes’, you are travelling alone. Note: All the hints mentioned above are not sufficient, you MUST do more research from Google.
